PIC, a specialist insurer of defined benefit pension funds, today announces that Roger Marshall has joined its Board as a Non Executive Director (NED) and Chair of the company’s Audit Committee.

Roger spent almost 40 years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he was latterly Lead Partner for Major FTSE100 Companies, across a variety of sectors. Clients included Lloyds TSB, Glaxo SmithKline and Zurich Financial Services. His NED experience includes time on the respective Boards of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) and Old Mutual Plc. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Sir Mark Weinberg, Chairman of PIC, said: “I am delighted that Roger is joining PIC’s Board. He has a deep understanding of insurance from his client work at PwC and his Non Executive experience since then. He therefore brings a wealth of expertise that will benefit PIC as we continue to develop and I want to welcome him to the Board.”

Roger Marshall, NED at PIC, said: “This is a very interesting time to be joining PIC’s Board as the company matures into a leading insurance company. One of the attractions of this role for me was the quality of PIC’s Board Directors and senior executives. I am very much looking forward to working with them.”
